Puerto Rico
The Forgotten Territory
Puerto Rico is often forgotten as being a part of the United States. It is not a state, but it is a U.S. territory. It is self-governed, but the President of the United States is the chief of states. The head of government is an elected governer. Like the United States, their legislative chamber includes the House of Representives and the Senate. Both Spanish and English are the official languages.
